KUALA LUMPUR, 11 NOVEMBER 2021: The Food Purveyor (TFP) – Malaysia’s leading premium grocery chain operator has officially launched its 30th outlet at Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC), namely BSC Fine Foods. The launch is held in conjunction with BSC Fine Foods first anniversary. The store made its debut in November 2020, offering quality features and relaxing gourmet dining experiences that would arouse the senses and palates of BSC affluent customers. 

The outlet consists of a food hall area, organic vegetable selections, Vegetory (a vertical farm where customers can pick fresh vegetables), meat section, seafood section, chill, and frozen section, among others.

BSC Fine Foods represents the concept of shopping and eating under one roof with an exquisite ambience. It allows customers a pleasant and relaxing food shopping experience, coupled with the opportunity to sit down and eat from a variety of high-quality dining options both inside and al-fresco.

TFP Group Executive Director Ivan Tan said, “BSC Fine Foods is designed to provide an international standard grocery model for great food and elevated experiences.” 

He added that TFP reflects its mission to offer a different experience while shopping for groceries by opening BSC Fine Foods at a carefully selected mall with a targeted market and customers. He also thanked the BSC management for their confidence in entrusting TFP to help curate and transform the grocery and food hall sections to a new and fresh ambience.

Chief Executive Officer of TFP, Geoff King, added on their efforts to stand out from traditional groceries said, “Grocery shopping doesn’t have to feel like a chore, we shop for food for the whole of our lives, so why not make the experience enjoyable. BSC Fine Foods is not just a store; it is a food experience with a carefully curated selection of exciting produce, groceries and freshest meat and fish.”

TFP is also the sole distributor for Waitrose & Partners. Being acknowledged for its organic selections and having held the royal warrant for supplying excellent goods to the royal household, it is a privilege for BSC Fine Foods to house Waitrose No.1, Waitrose Essential and Waitrose Duchy Organic exclusively. BSC Fine Foods has the latest and widest selection of Waitrose & Partners products in Malaysia, with more than 300 SKUs available.

In addition, BSC Fine Foods stands behind the efforts in promoting sustainability. Since June 1, the store has stopped selling or giving away single-use plastic bags at the checkout counters. This zero-plastic initiative is a part of TFP’s flagship environmental sustainability goal, “Plastic Free by 2023″, which aims to eliminate all single-use plastic from its business operation before the end of 2023.”
