The Lost Food Project (TLFP) is delighted to announce food partners, The Food Purveyor (TFP), is launching a new initiative to allow customers to donate loyalty points to TLFP, to add to their existing rewards options.  Members will be able to easily donate 500 BITES points, an equivalent value of RM5, at a time. With each such donation, TLFP can provide meals for up to 25 people in need. Funds raised through this platform will also be used to support the operational costs of TLFP enabling more food to be channelled to those who are in need.

“We are proud to partner with the amazing The Lost Food Project to help them deliver their charitable goals in feeding Malaysia’s needy. In addition to our stores regularly supplying left-over food for TLFP to distribute, with Bites we can now help our customers participate in helping feed the nation’s needy. This initiative is part of our larger sustainability mission of reducing and redirecting  food waste, and eliminating single use plastics in our stores” said Geoff King, Chief Executive Officer, The Food Purveyor. 

The initiative will engage more than 180,000 registered BITES members, providing an incredible opportunity to positively impact our community. The Food Purveyor is an existing, long-standing food partner of TLFP since January 2017, operating the Village Grocer and Ben’s Independent Grocer (B.I.G.) supermarket brands.
